Francesco Catanzariti arrive in this country, speaking little English, with nothing in his pockets but his hands and a dream. After an interview (in Italian) he found employment at the University of Notre Dame and was a chef there for over 25 Years. He also worked many additional hours in a number of other positions on campus.

He opened Francesco's Ristoranti in 1981. Typical of so many Italian family restaurants, Francesco's wife, mother-in-law, daughter and sons also worked in the restaurant.

He had always hoped that his sons would join him and continue the family business.

His sons, Giuseppe (Joey C), now the Executive Chef and Rocco, the Business Advisor for the restaurant, are fullfilling Francesco's dream.

The house specialities are: Veal, Seafood, Chicken & Pasta Dishes and Pizza.

Each customer is treated as though they were guests in the family home.
Francesco's is authentic, romantic Italian dining at it's best!!
